As you are entering this place or just reading this review, know that this place is more than a millenium old. The first written sources date back to 535AD. During the 9th century this was a Barbarian fortress. This was conquered by the Mongolians in 1241. This is the oldest in Vojvodina. After the early 17th century the fortresss was burned, demolished and never renovated again. It is easily accessible by car and parking is free. It's free for visitors. It's interesting place. I liked the town and this old castle. Beautiful place of history that has been well kept and preserved. It’s clean and restored so spending some time there will be highly educational. Unfortunately, not much of it had left, only tower and surrounding walls, but it is still nice to come here, learn something and take few pictures. Very nice and old fortress, worth seeing.
