So many history in one place and you are not in Italy od France. Seen the Romana era, barbarians.... Was shocked that even Mongols made a destructive visit here. To bad this magnificent which is the biggest in Vojvodina was destroyed by rebelion 300 years ago. Oh....the is always open. Interesting historic place. Must visit. Entry and parking is free. In areal is a gift shop. Where you can buy souvenirs. Definitely worth visiting. It is off the beaten path and not that popular but it offers a lot. Easy to find. Plenty of parking and always open. As you are entering this place or just reading this review, know that this place is more than a millenium old. The first written sources date back to 535AD. During the 9th century this was a Barbarian fortress. This was conquered by the Mongolians in 1241. This is the oldest in Vojvodina. After the early 17th century the fortresss was burned, demolished and never renovated again. It is easily accessible by car and parking is free. It's free for visitors. It's interesting place. I liked the town and this old castle. Beautiful place of history that has been well kept and preserved. It’s clean and restored so spending some time there will be highly educational. The nature around it is also very serene and beautiful. Beautiful place to visit, I came when the museum was closed, but walking around the grounds is good enough. To imagine this place back when it was occupied. There is an English explanation at the entrance and a diagram also in English. remember no vandalism and take out what you bring in, no littering. there are barrels, but off season they probable don't get picked up. After walking around the fortress, head to the left when leaving and head to the gate, cross over the bridge, and walk around the beautiful village of Bać. There's a Turkish bath ruin, and some historical houses associated with the fortress. Very nice place. Must visit. Sadly it was closed.alto itwas fogy day, looks stuninng. Prelepa tvrdjava u Baču iz 14 veka, priroda i raj za oci i odmor za dusu, mir tisina i spokoj. Osoblje ljubazno. Ekstra slike za uspomene 10+ This was build in medieval times, to protect this part of the country from Turkish attacks. Unfortunately, not much of it had left, only tower and surrounding walls, but it is still nice to come here, learn something and take few pictures. Very nice and old fortress, worth seeing. No entrance fee.
