We have visited several wineries all around the world, and this is the first that we were truly surprised. From the that we booked the tour, Maialen was and very engaging. She provided not only a warm welcome to us to the but also thought us a lot about their wine, the different process and even bottles, corks and barrels. The whole was extraordinary and very educational. We played a game that we highly recommend to do (Juego de los Aromas) in which you blindly smell different spices, fruits and condiments. We recently visited Bodega Lozano and it was a experience. It was our first in the La Rioja region, and we chose Lozano because it is a dog friendly and we were travelling with our dog, Stella. We were received by Maialen Sánchez, and she welcomed us and Stella (including fresh water served in a very special bowl). She was with us through the (Stella was not allowed in the room where the is made, gently reminded by Maialen) and afterwards she guided us during a very nice tasting, well explained, clear and with no arrogance. Just nice, at our own pace, and with Stella beside us :) I recommend the visit, not only for the main reason we went there (dog-friendly), but for the kindness we received all the time. And, on top, the are really great! Fully recommend the experience, no matter if you are a newie or an expert in wines. We (myself, husband and dog) had a lovely private with Maialen as the guide. She speaks excellent English and was very welcoming and good fun. She really interacted with us and adjusted the tour, to dwell deeper into the areas we were curious about. We got to ask a lot of questions and pick up information that was totally new to us, in spite of having done several tours before. The as also a very pleasant and we were given as much as we wanted to stay behind and enjoy the wines. We had a wonderful visit at Bodegas Lozano! We had a private with Maialen, she was made the really enjoyable and interesting, and we learned a lot about the process of the making. Also their is fantastic, absolutely top tier! Such a experience. Our hostess was knowledgeable and amazing with our children, involving them and providing activities and snacks for them and we never heard one complaint! The + was just the right length, and the facilities were beautiful. The was too, we were especially surprised by the white varietal served.
