We did a and it was from beginning to end! Our Carolina was awesome! She was very knowledgeable and funny, the never got boring! It was awesome to see the traditional ways of making, and walking around in the caves. The value for the price is exceptional! You get to try 3 plus some appetizers at the end! Very interesting and unique vinery visit in old cellar systems below the town. It is very different from the most new Bodegas you will visit in Rioja because you learn about the history of elaborating in the region how it used to be. Moreover, you will taste young beautiful how it used to be made before mass production changed the taste. Our very young but knowledgeable was very attentive and answered all of our questions and let us taste different produced at Lecea. Greatly recommend this tour, it is much different from the rest of the wineries in the region and available in Spanish and in English. We did an of the in English. The value for money on the is astonishing : for just 25 euros you get to try 3/4 of their and a plate with cheese, picos and chorizo. The is really interesting and it’s really different from other tours in different reactions of Europe. The lady who took us around the was super nice and really funny. Would really recommend! Took a perfectly timed rest day from the Camino De Santiago to enjoy this wonderful tour. We got to walk through the incredible and tasted some fantastic wines. This is a MUST SEE if you’re anywhere close to this area! Incredible owned with an interesting history. One of the most authentic bodegas in the Rioja area, as they still produce their in their centuries old underground caves/cellars. The of their bodega is super interesting, not only for the architecture of the caves, but also because of the super knowledgeable and friendly guide. On top of all this their (both the red and white!) are truly outstanding and the tasting at the end of the was amazing! If you want a true local with the best in this area, look no further!! We went to multiple bodegas and Lecea is by far the best. We visited many bodegas while in the Rioja region, and Bodegas Lecea was the highlight of our trip. We toured the with a glass of in hand. After visiting the we tasted a couple varieties in the tasting room. Then we went to the vineyards to see where the grapes are grown and had a delicious lunch amongst the vines. It was a wonderful that we will always remember! Our visit to Bodegas Lecea was an absolute gem of an experience! Christina, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable and radiated passion for the winery, making the both informative and engaging. The entire Lecea welcomed us with such warmth, generosity, and accommodation—especially remarkable as we were traveling with our 6-month-old, who they made feel right at home. The through the historic was the coolest I’ve ever experienced, showcasing the unmatched history and unique charm of the property. The themselves were phenomenal, each one reflecting the family’s dedication and craft. I wholeheartedly recommend Bodegas Lecea to anyone seeking extraordinary and a heartfelt, family-run that feels like home! A really fascinating, indeed extraordinary, tour. Wonderful to know that the same has been using these for hundreds of years and for our to be a member of that same family. All the better for some lovely sampled and bought. A must if you have time in the area. visiting the and having a picnic lunch in the vineyard. We were warmly welcomed by the Lecea and had an guide, Christina. Our entire family, including 2 younger daughters, really had a wonderful time. Would recommend the full experience(cave, tasting and picnic lunch) to anyone who visits! Absolutely a highlight of our trip to Spain! We did the Premium Visit at $45 Euros per person, and was well worth the cost, in my opinion. Our vineyard was the owner of the Bodega, Luis! My Spanish is limited, so I just listened and took in what I could but the whole was great for me. The atmosphere, the town, the caves, the vineyards, the wine, the food. So cool! A great day in La Rioja. I can highly recommend this bodega. We joined an English-speaking that lasted about 1.5 hours. What I really liked was that there were two tastings during the itself, perfectly paired with the explanations about viticulture – not just a quick tasting at the very end like in many other places. What also makes this bodega special is its history: at one point the town had around 300 underground cellars, but today this is the only one that still exists in its original form. Here it’s really all about tradition, history, and craftsmanship – and you can feel the authenticity throughout. Our was very friendly as well. Absolutely recommended! We loved our visit to Bodegas Lecea. We took the premium which included the and the as well as a trip to the vineyard. Both parts were great. The winery/cave is really informative and it’s fun to imagine (and see!) how was made centuries ago. The goes through all the Lecea where the is made and stored, and the ends with a tasting of three excellent and the option to try others too. We followed that up with a drive to the vineyard with the same guide. We got to see the Lecea vines (as well as the vineyards of many others) and learn more about the grapes. The best part was lunch in the field that included two more and the best tortilla we had in Spain (homemade by the mom of the that owns the winery). The and food on this is great and we learned a lot about Rioja winemaking too. Highly recommended! We had the most experience! Lidia was warm, funny and so passionate about her family’s business. Winemaking in is complex; it was so interesting to see and hear how it’s done. And the is spectacular! Definitely a must see! Loved every minute! 🍷 Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
