In category of mountain shelters, this place should get 6 stars. It is located close to public transportation, close to popular mountain trails and in has beautiful surroundings. But, all of mountain shelters in the area have similar or even better locations. However, if you come here, you'll fell like at home. When you enter, instead of dark common area, you'll find bright and warm (fireplace is burning and makes you feel cozy) dining room plus restaurant with stunning selection of local cuisine. And very inexpensive. Not to mention home made alcoholic remedies ;-) Then you go to your room. Room with your own bathroom, :-o, yes, like in the hotel. And all of this at very, I mean very affordable prices. Wife and me spent one night here but we are coming back. For a longer retreat, oh, I haven't mention fast wifi and small library. The best atmosphere and the best food ever! I spend here all New Year Eves for 10 years and I found that every room is very cozy and comfortable. The staff is very fiendly, you can feel here like at home. And the food.. Is delicious! Went there on a one day hike with Cirła as a stop to eat and rest post climbing. Home made pierogi are amazing 😍. Soups are tasty. And pastry is delicious. Nice touch is the view of the Slovak Tatra mountains on a sunny day. Place is located in a very beautiful place, up in the mountains, took us more than an hour to get there with kids. They have space for tents. Only problem was they didn't take cards for payment, cash only so we didn't get to try their allegedly famous apple pie. It is super place to visit, spent some Time. Really good food as for Mountain hut. One of the best shelters that I have stayed in Poland and abroad, at par with the refuggios in the Dolomites. Ask for perogies with grated oscypek. I have been hiking etc. for more than 40 years... Exquisite shelter with great service, fantastic food, and kind service. With moderate prices it's a good benchmark of expectations for other shelters. I do recommend. Amazing place, atmosphere, people and food!!
