During the Winter season it is only open on Friday&Saturday, guided tours start on the hour, 5€ pp, in May they open every day. The grounds and garden are open and can be visited for free. A passionate guide will show you parts of the and provide lots of background information. Beautiful piece of architecture! It’s an hidden gem in the heart of one of the most popular beaches in Portugal. Cheap for a 45 min guided of the palace itself. And the gardens are free to visit! It’s absolutely amazing the level of detail, to see the different ways how culture has change, the level of wealth it’s required… Honestly amazing Place well kept... It is worth mentioning the guided visits... Well done. Wow! We were not expecting to be blown away. With only a small €5 entrance fee you receive an hour long tour. They have set times for tours so go in early in the day and ask what time the tours are for your language. We did an English at 6:00pm. The guide was a lovely lady who gave us a ton of information about the family, the artists, the designers and so much more. The is in wonderful condition for being over 100 years old. The artwork and designs in the were beautiful. A definite must see if you stop by Figueira! You get to see 3/5 of the floors of the but those 3 floors are all decorated with original furnishings as well. The was highly enjoyable, and the guide shared the history of the castle and its owners in two languages (English and Portuguese). I highly recommend visiting. As I understood the palace is only open on specific days and times, so it's better to check with the receptionists beforehand. Amazing experience, a 45 to 1h guided visit where we get emerged in the experience of visiting a well maintained villa kept almost entirely and as accurate as it once was. The guide provided context of the rooms and the history of the family. Totally recommend everyone to visit it for the value of 5€.
