Loved the place. is a must here and the house wine is so good, we asked to buy a couple of bottles off them. Super friendly staff Have eaten here a few times in the last 3 years. We ate lunch of for 4. The soup was disappointing very watery. Plenty of but few potatoes for four people waist forgot items a few times. Not our best visit Excellent roast with potatoes and served with rice. House wine is good. Highly recommended Simple small menu, delicious. If you want arroz de Pato or gallons asada you need to reserve these dishes the day before… or in the AM for dinner. As an option, the arroz de galhina was very good. The starter bread was sooo good, BROA DE SANTOS is the bread with raisins, delicious. Wonderfull cosy food. Tasted 3 diferent dishes. Recomend each one off them equaly. Best place I visited in some time. Very good traditional cuisine. Specially for meat eaters. Amazing host, full of stories and tales, only in Portuguese, I think. Stopped there on my way to Aveiro after a friend recommended this place. I was not disappointed! The was fantastic, the house wine was great, even the appetizer bread was impressive. The host had me taste a free dessert and gave me a quick tour of the garden where every sort of vegetable and fruit is grown. Nice guy. Be sure to go enjoy the backyard if it's a sunny day, it's a very relaxing place. Absolutely superb food and excellent service in a small, friendly restaurant. Traditional local dishes including game and wildfowl. Probably not the place for a vegetarian! Reasonably priced but take cash as they only accept Portuguese bank cards.
