I went on a Saturday i recommend to go before 13h because after that can get chaotic the parking... At least on weekends. I'm sure is quiet all other days. It's a beautiful place. Huge until your eyes can see .. dunes. this sure make it to my top 5 on my favourite beaches in Portugal. Small bar. Life guard. WC. Not big parking lot. Also.. I don't think Google maps is correct about the geotag. Is further south. Better reach the village Vieirinhos (Pombal) and follow the signs from there. Portuguese locals dont seem to mind all the garbage on this or devastation to dunes and the forest. There are lifeguards so you can stay close if uncomfortable swimming in ocean. The waves do get bug and surf is strong. But the sand is soft and you can just lie down & enjoy watching the waves. Wonderful beach... we were fortunate to go when it wasn't busy (even though it was a weekend). The was very clean, they had toilets and parking on site, and a place to wash your feet off at the end. I would definitely recommend a visit if you have a car. Super with huge car park backed by amazing dunes. Dog friendly empty sand for miles in each direction. You, the sand, ocean and nature. very nice with clean sand along and good conditions .recommend to everyone so this deserve 5 stars!! Very good looking beach, clean with the presence of lifeguards and first aid facilities. Parking is fair, prepare yourself for some dust. It has a little bar with snacks, Ice creams and drinks.
