First Camp Björkäng - Varberg

Björkäng, Sweden RV park

Frequently mentioned in reviews: Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Definitely not tent friendly but close to the where you can camp for free. Edit: I really appreciate the camp is checking the reviews. Now I think again. I was a bit harsh giving 2 star. They deserve a solid 3 star. not great but not bad either. But if you are with a camper not a tent, this is a fantastic location. The kitchen could be just a bit bigger. These kinds of closed environments are so great for the cyclists, a warm moment while drinking a tea. Very nice place. No mosquitoes at all. Great nearby and very clean and shallow water. The water was shallow for very long into the sea. Great for kids. The water was a bit cold, but still for adults. The staff were really friendly, and we did try their 4 man bike-car, or what ever it is called. Great fun. Great, quiet camping. Roomy and new cabins at a reasonable price (1300 SEK), friendly staff and the sea is nearby. Do keep into account that they charge for linen, so if you call for a price, it might differ. Nice campsite.. child and dog friendly. Really pizza in the bistro! Shallow water for a long way for kids. Only negative was even though the website says it should be quiet 24-07 some people were partying with loud music and shouting till 04:30 on Saturday night. Apparently need to call securitas if there are any problems in the which i didnt know at the time. Or course people can party but it was extreme and everyone seems very tired today and need to drive far with kids. Maybe securitas can be asked to check on weekends after 24 so people can sleep before having to pack up tents and drive. 360:- per för which is more than usual but no need to buy a yearly membership card for 400 like other places Great site services are all perfect and late check in was super easy The camp is very located. It has an amazing beach. The facilities are good. The Tents zone is not only for tents and everyone is parking wherever they want. So you have Campers and tents together it would be nice to have it separated. Or at least someone to organize it. Overall it is a very site. Would definitely come there again. Disgusting. After 4 weeks traveling through Scandinavia and sleeping somewhere else every day, this was the most dirty campsite we've been at. Judging by the amount of Hair in the shower drainage and the amount of feces in the toilet bowls, this place has not been cleaned in weeks. It's at the though... Very camping, late checking possible when i booked i had to pay 35 euro a night. expensive but doable since it is right on the beach. after i left i got an invoice and in the end i had to pay 50 euro a night. i am sorry but personally i find that way too expensive for 1 person 2 dogs and a mini campervan. I booked cabin by phone and tell that we will arrive the same day at 7 pm, the woman said OK by phone, when we arrived at 7 reception was closed, even that on Friday should be open until 8 pm, nobody pick up the phone, we need to looked for hotel very lite this day. Don't go here unless you are willing to pay double or up to triple of what you will pay at any other campground for a mediocre experience. Facilities are run down, and not maintained well. It is just built to make money not to be accommodating for campers. They claim they are a "safe place to visit" but neither wear masks nor provide disinfectant or any other form of infection control. Would definetly recommend you go somewhere else before paying a fortune here and being disappointed. You know how at every place anywhere you can just arrive at any time and - if there's enough space, of course - you'll be able to spend the night? Well not here! When we arrived on a Tuesday in late May at 7 pm with a van full of cranky kids and tired adults, the lady on the "service" line told us that there's nothing that she can do for us, because we didn't make a reservation (online, where you could in theory also pay right away) while the reception was still open. The reception closed at 5 pm that day. This is a great example for how corporations make literally everything worse for everyone, so I'll remember to avoid First Camp in the future and I think you should, too. Now they'll probably sue me for this comment but I don't care. Great place with a beautiful and amazing sunset. The staff was super nice. I felt safe and the showers were better than most.
