Usual bulgarian experience- fantastic nature and total lack of maintenance... the path is not marked at all, the few remaining info posts give zero info on where you are. There are literally no markings, while the path is a bit of a labyrinth so lots of back and forth. We mixed the path a few times and ended up walking a LOT more.... the loop should be ~3 km, moslty easy path. The "map" at the start is a complete joke... didn't find the castle, didn't find the roman road. Really ruins the experience... Rocks are amazing though and quite impressive. Beautiful piece of nature! It's a really beautiful place with a bit challenging rocky uphills and moving rocks under the feet, but it's still worthy to climb up for the stunning view and the interesting rockformstions and caves! Some smart authorities invested into ridiculous, ruined sun powered lightning poles, instead of fixing the demolished bridges on the river. The main route along the river is cut in half by a "private property" signs and a badly looking abandoned fishing and animal raising site. Most of the tourist signs are missing or broken. All in all looks like no one from the authorities cares about the place. Still worth visiting, because of the nice nature around. Very beautiful rock formations, one can easily get lost in the beauty of this broken landscape. It feels like you went back in prehistoric times. It’s also dog-friendly but I wouldn’t recommend it in the summer because of snakes. I enjoy walking there. I usually leave my car after taking the left turn and the last houses.
