Beautiful castle. Absolutely worth to visit. Summer already given share theatre. Beautiful piece of history. It's a wonderful location to have a wedding and the nature trails behind the are so fun to walk. The kitchen was a lot of fun to volunteer in during my time on campus. Overall amazing place to visit. The is a real hidden gem on the edge of this small village. The size of it's grounds are truly wonderous with huge foresty areas several lakes and medows. The itself is a beautiful representatation of the 19th century's magnificence. Definitely worth visiting even just for a relaxing afternoon stroll in the park or for a weekend getaway spending a couple of nights in the renovated accomodation quarters in the castle. Basically it is just a big park with an empty palace and a water tower in the middle of it. No museum or anything, during the communism everything was stolen, but even in it current state, the place still has it's charm, though it saw better days. When I was there, there was a Catholic child camp inside, and as the only visitor I felt as an alien among regulars. But the entrance fee is only symbolic, and the scenery is really nice. If you want to rest in a quiet park with such scenery, this may be a good choice for you. Since 1989, the and ita park has been used by the WOL Word of Life Hungary Foundation, which was established in the USA and also operates in Hungary. Its current function: youth camp, bible school, conference centre, because of this, the is only open on certain days, so please check the opening hours in advance! The outside of the is in a bit of a state of disrepair. Unfortunately only a few rooms on the ground floor are open to the public; the entrance hall with a beautiful wooden staircase, the Golden Hall with its beautiful neo-Rococo decoration and the Glass House. There are also two other rooms used as dining rooms. There are also toilets, which are clean. The 30 hectares of the Park are home to small ponds and valuable plants. The Park, famous for its mature trees, is a nature reserve. It is beautifully maintained. The neo-renaissance water tower in the park is an interesting industrial monument. Beautiful place :) It's an awesome well maintained with a great school operating there. The lake is beautiful and peaceful. Urgent renovation needed Az Andrássy kastély a Wol Élet Szava Magyarország alapítvány székhelye. Nyaranta gyermek és ifjúsági bibliai táborokat tartanak. Ide önkéntesnek is lehet jelentkezni. Minden héten vannak amerikai önkéntesek is, így a résztvevők gyakorolhatják az angol tudásukat. Szeptembertől májusig egy Biblia iskola üzemel a kastélyban ide érettségizett fiatalokat várnak. A kastély korlátozottan a meghirdetett látogatási napokon látogatható ott a belépőjegy nagyon jutányos árú. A kastély gyönyörű, de az alapítvány nem képes a köz javára is elérhetővé tenni, az egész környék turizmusának jót tenne, ha legalább heti egy nap látogatható lenne, a kastély parkja pedig akár több nap is estig randevúknak és pikknikeknek adna helyett. Tudom a tulajdonos végakarata volt, hogy az egyház kezében landoljon a kastély (is), de biztos vagyok benne, hogy ezt nem ebben a formában képzelte el. Nagy csalódás volt.a lépcsőkön kivül semmit nem lehet látni ,legalább egy vagy két szobát berendezhettek volna.okt.15.én lehetett megnézni, nyugdíjas csoportok voltak,legalább a büfé kinyithatott volna,egyszóval nagy csalódás,800.-ft a parkot lehet megnézni,ahol egy padot nem lehetett találni,bár rossz idő lett,így maradt a séta .nem ajánlom senkinek. ha nem autóval mennek,a vasúttól elég sokat kell gyalogolni. Awesome place with great people! Az egyéni nosztalgiám emeli a hely maradandó szépségét.Több mint 50 éve voltam itt üdülni és csodás élményeket szereztünk. Gondoltam hogy nem lesz az 50 év előtti állapotban, olvastam a szomorú véleményeket. Ami viszont felháborított ,hogy a szűk éves látogatási napok (14) utólsó napján jöttünk, bejutni nem lehetett miközben a kastély kertben sokan sétálgattak. Kiderült a portás ebédelt...és a bejáratnál megadott telefonszámok nem válaszoltak. Egy személyzet kifelé jövet engedett be minket hosszas várakozás után. Meglepő az is hogy a település egyetlen látványossága,és az utvonalon sehol nem jelzik az irányt a kastély felé. Csodás adottságokkal egy elkótyavetyélt műemlék.
