We spent a wonderful afternoon at the Radovan winery. The weather was perfect and the view was beautiful. The waitresses were extremely friendly and the owner took the time to make everyone feel welcome. We love Radovan wines, but drinking them in this beautiful setting is a special experience. Along with the wines, I would especially like to praise the food (Istrian prosciutto and cheeses) they serve, which was perfect. We have been to many wineries in Istria, but we have never felt so welcome and we will come back at the first opportunity. Preslatka vinarija, ugodan ambijent! Eine sehr nette Dame, ursprünglich aus der Slowakei, aber schon lange in Istrien, hat uns wunderbar bedient und an Freundlichkeit und Gastfreundschaft nicht zu überbieten. We went spontaneous there before dinner to have an aperitif and to enjoy a nice glass of wine. Vina Radovan is located in the picturesque village called Radovani, 5min driving time away from Visnjan. The selection of is small but high in quality. Try their Refosk and the fresh Malavazija. Just great. Besides the nice I was most impressed about the hosts. They have welcomed us, as if we knew eachother for years. Bread, homemade olive oil and cheese was servedy without asking for it. The glasses were always full and the prices for their premium are reasonable and approx. 10-15% lower then at other local wineries. The tavern is just next to the cellar in an original Istrian rustic design. We planned to stay 1h but stayed 2 1/2h as we liked it that much. I can only recommend this place. We dropped by and were created by the very lovely hosts. They immediately started dragging chairs to the shade when we asked if it was possible to sit outside but not in the sun, and they were so dog friendly. The are all great, and the production facilities of the whole winery, as well as the tasting lounge are completely new. If you’re close, make sure to visit this pearl! If you’re not close, stop visit them! Degustacija vina je bila odlično organizovana, vina su vrhunskog kvaliteta, a osoblje stručno, ljubazno i gostoljubivo. Hrana koja je pratila degustaciju savršeno je upotpunila doživljaj. Vina Radovan is an oasis of peace, in a beautiful setting with a magical view. The they produce is delicious, light and tasty, as are the delicious snacks they offer. I definitely recommend visiting if you are in the area. The tour was engaging and informative, and the we tasted were absolutely delicious — each with its own unique character.
