It was just ok. We had vine tasting. Done outside, in a bit rush. I didn’t like the scenery and sorroundings. No going around the vineyard. Vines proper, not special. Good prices. oil very good. For - we got some cheese and meat - very good. Service - pleasant but in rush. This is about @markokrstacic He makes things, one of which is Punte Greca, a Merlot. He is an engineer at heart, and he makes things to last, and with huge care and consideration. He starts by growing grapes on a remote peninsula right on the seaside in Istria. The grapes need his help to survive the sun, the bura winds, the salt, the wild boar, the thin biscuit coloured soil, and the birds. If they survive (!), he and his team will lovingly hand select the grapes that go into Punte Greca. Then he will spend 2 years assembling and 2 more years caring for that wine. On careful reflection, I would say anyone who finds themselves with a glass of this, and some cheese, can count themselves very grateful indeed for the effort. The is wonderful. Medea Vinarja is a special place. Excellent wine, Irena is very knowledgeable on the varietals and production if you get the tasting! The oil is also very good. I recently visited Medea Winery in Vodnjan with a friend, and it was a fantastic experience. The staff was incredibly welcoming, guiding us through a of several wines and oils, each accompanied by detailed explanations. We even had the chance to see the mill, which added a unique touch to our visit. Their knowledge and passion for both winemaking and oil production made the experience enjoyable and educational. I highly recommend Medea Winery for anyone looking to explore quality products in a warm and friendly atmosphere. It was one of the better and oil experiences and I can hardly choose which or which oil was better for us. We look forward to working with this team of true professionals, connoisseurs of their work and enthusiasts. Namely, we have a small caffe bar in Zagreb and we will happily and reliably sell their products and recommend them to everyone. Since then, only their wines have been in our private refrigerator, and oil is on the table.
