Unwelcoming in an emergency situation Our ferry was originally heading to Rovinj but due to a severe hurricane-like storm, it was diverted to Poreč. Upon arrival, we were forced to disembark and walk about 2 km on a dirt road to catch a bus to our destination. Because of the severe storm, many passengers sought shelter inside this restaurant, as it was 20 meters away from the ferry. It was around 9 PM, and there were very few diners inside. Among those seeking refuge were women, elderly people, and children. Some ordered a coffee. The restaurant manager, who apparently saw the ferry arrive, aggressively and violently kicked us all out, complaining that we were dirtying the floor. He insulted us and forced us to leave without any regard for the emergency situation outside — yellow weather warning, hurricane-force winds, and 4 meter high waves in nearby ports. It’s very sad to see locals who depend on tourism behave this way during a time of urgent need. Wonderful atmosphere and excellent cocktails!! Very well balanced cocktails, we enjoyed every signle sip but unfortunately service was lacking. Soft drinks were all hot and we were given huge amounts of ice to make up which is pitty since it loose sparkling sensation. There is not much people and I think they are mistaking. Maybe thats because its at the end of the walking path, but still on great spot and easy to see.
