Nice port close to city Perfect sports harbor. It has two good restaurants, the Bar Mola with tasty plates, burger and sandwiches. There are several diving schools. My preferred ones are Medusa Dive and H2O. Both collaborate, have great crews, small shop, and also a boat to go the diving points. Good strategic location but terrible management and very expensive. the jetty (new built after it collapsed already 2 times) was rebuilt too low and too short. Great experience and service. Very nice restaurant and options nearby. Beautiful bay with some great looking restaurants selling fresh fish dishes. The fish market is 2 minutes from the main street in the old town. My review is only about space of marina, I do not have a yacht and cannot review any maritime / yacht services. As for - it was a really miserable experience for me, very bad misaligned organisation, unfriendly management and awful customer communication. What happened: I have contacted Marina Palamos per mail some months in advance before my arrival to Palamos and asked whether I could reserve a lot for 2 weeks in August. After 2 emails I have got an answer: "yes, no problem, but we do not make reservation in advance - just come here and we'll do everything at the counter". Ook. Now I arrive in Palamos, go to the counter - and the ladies there just do not want to give me a lot for 2 weeks (for the 2 weeks price, advertised on their website). Because I do not have a yacht and "just want parking". I was really badly surprised by this. Showed them an email, which they sent me saying "all fine, come and reserve at the counter". They admitted that the email was sent by their colleague, but "apparently, he has made a mistake and gave you wrong information". No compromise was possible, the ladies were not really helpful or anyhow motivated to help. So, I just had to drive away and get to stressful search for another option in Palamos (which is no really easy). To sum up, I was really badly suprpised by such an attitude and would not recommend to use this place. Quiet little marina, very good service. By far, One of the most expensive Ports in the mediterranean. Mediocre Services would never justify 110 Euro for 1 night for a 15 meters boat. Expensive. Very. For the same price, we spent 2 nights in the heart of Barcelona. Visitor places are very exposed to the entering sea, and to the passage of other ships. Port without interest. Fuel. Diving centres and restaurants. To be avoided if possible.
