After Besalu, Rupit is the second most medieval in Catalonia. It's a lovely walkable full of houses, tiny and narrow streets surrounded by mountains and a river. A must see if in the area little town, but was very crowded when we went. The little gift shops were and unique, they even have some that's made exactly there by the artist I can't recall the name. The is very unique though if you're in the area. The bakery by the parking lot has nice baked goods but thought it was a little pricey. The buildings and houses are fabulous and unique. A rope bridge connects both side of this love little place with a river that runs between both sides of the village. It's very much a tourist attraction and you have to pay to park in the carpark before entering on foot. Well worth visiting This small has something truly mystical about it. It feels here all year round, with a special atmosphere that’s hard to describe. Maybe it’s the town’s history, but there’s definitely something unique in its energy and vibes. We loved the local shops and the high-quality, delicious products they offer. The food in the small restaurants was also excellent. People were kind, and everyone we met spoke English. It’s still Catalonia, but unlike the Costa Brava, this place has a warm and genuine charm that feels deeply local and sincere. Wonderful historic in the mountains. Very scenic drive to get there and well worth it. A walk across the suspension bridge is a must. Great medieval village! Nice mountains and restaurants:) little town, it was foggy so I couldn’t enjoy the view but it was really chilled and peaceful, a nice a place for hiking or just wandering.
