Just happened to be in the area and Sir Henry's was the closest to us. Inside the pub is really cool, staff couldn't have been nicer and more attentive, service was excellent! Thought the food would have been better but it was just typical pub food, burger patty most likely came frozen in a box. The other sandwich wasn't as tasty as other places have it. On another note: The pond was low and unappealing and low water that doesn't move during hot days brings insects. The water out back around the parking area was somewhat the same which brought up concerns for the waterfowl that was resting in the low/muddy section. Went here for fathers day. Really attentive friendly staff. We were quickly seated. Very organised place. The food was really good, dinner and salmon come out quickly. Hot and extremely tasty. Would definitely recommend. Our initial visit to this establishment with my wife proved to be a delightful experience. The ambiance was charming, particularly the aesthetically pleasing outdoor seating area, complemented by the high quality of the cuisine. Furthermore, we observed their capacity to host weddings in an attractive barn setting and offer event nights, for which we have already secured a reservation for our group. This was a really nice restaurant in a lovely setting. The food was really nice and very well presented, and the staff were amazing, so welcoming and friendly and very entertaining too. We had a lovely time and we will definitely be returning. We had an amazing time for my wife’s birthday lunch, the food & service was all we could wish for!!! Would be great if they did a vegetarian Sunday though! Sir Henry’s is our favourite family restaurant and a go to for a good home cooked meal. The lamb is out of this world and I love the specials menu that changes constantly. The servers always welcome us warmly with a smile and the speed is second to none with meals coming out piping hot! Thank you for being such an amazing restaurant. Fantastic experience at Sir Henry's. It's very rare to get that authentic gastropub vibe without feeling too forced, but Sir Henry's gets it spot on. A good test of pub grub is how well they do a sunday meals; Sir Henry's do an excellent job - we got the mixed meat sunday and the pork. Great value for money: very filling and tasty. Especially the pork - crispy crackling with soft melt in the mouth meat. The mixed sunday actually was so filling! It was more than enough for me and the misses. There's loads of seating available, more so during the warmer days as they open up outdoor seating. Great scenery around it too. So outdoors is a great shout. Very child friendly - There's quite a bit of space for the little ones to run around outside. Overall, a fantastic experience, definitely a place to go out of the way for a great meal and a place to chill.
