There were blueberries everywhere and we frequently stopped to pick some. We also spotted raspberries. Most people walked to the trolls and to the picnic area and not the full loop. I recently visited Trollparken Garpes Vänner and had a good experience. While the park isn't exceptional, it offers a decent blend of nature and adventure, making it a nice stopover.Located conveniently on the way to Kalmar from Stockholm, Trollparken Garpes Vänner is a good spot for a brief and whimsical outdoor adventure. This little hiking trail has about 80 statues of trolls that were carved by a local artist which you can see while walking the 700m distance. The trail ends with a beautiful view of the valley and a picnic area with tables and trash cans. Some statues are large and easy to see and others are smaller and a bit more hidden. This is a great family activity and was enjoyed by our whole group. We had kids ranging from 3-15. It is free of charge with the option of sending a small donation to the artist if you enjoyed it. There was plenty of parking and when we went, there were very few people despite it being a beautiful day. Loads of parking available. It's a few minutes up the hıll to see the tolls. There's loads of them, some hıdden ones. Some are double sided, the other side is totally different. A very cool landmark - the trolls are so much fun to look at, but the landscape is beautiful, too! The road can be a bit tricky for little children or older folks, but great for an average tourist. The peak offers a wonderful view of the surrounding area. The loop is only 700 meters, steep but not difficult.
