Fabulous views and lots of history. It is quite simple inside but only costs a euro to visit which is donated to mental health. The inside is quite small and gives you an insight to how it operates. The view from the top is great and allows you good views over Cala. Perfect for a selfie. It looks beautiful. It was closed when I was there. It was also late in the evening. There was light shining on it, making it look fantastic. The entrance fee is 2 euros. On Mondays, you can visit it for free. It is one of the few remaining historic Moorish monuments. Very beautiful sight at night. Good for an after dinner walk. Walking distance from food court approximately 8min. Nightmarket. Very nice historical place ! You can visit it during the day and go up and have a wonderful view on La Cala de Mijas, the small boat harbor and the beach ! Worth the tour ! Very interesting video about the towers of Mijas Costa. Nice little museum, very helpful guide and great views. Enjoyed my visit. Only 1€ admission, history leaflets available in English, well worth a look if only to take a photo The tower itself is nothing out of the ordinary, but the area itself is beautiful, right next to the beach with several cafes and restaurants. There is also a wonderful boardwalk. I have been to this location many times. Parking can be problematical but we have always eventually found a space. The beaches are nice and clean , with plenty of toilets and showers. There are many lovely restaurants along the seafront. If you want to go out on paddleboards or jet-skis, there are several places to hire for an hour. Super schöner Ort und Strand! Günstige Preise in den Bars und noch nicht überlaufen! 🇬🇧: A well-preserved historic watchtower right by the sea in La Cala de Mijas. Interesting to see and easy to visit while walking along the promenade. Not a big attraction, but worth a quick stop for photos and a bit of history. My favourite place in La Cala. It’s always a big focal point for visitors and locals alike and marks the beginning of the famous Boardwalk! This is a recent photo of a painting of the landmark showing a typical fiesta in the foreground and a busy, bustling scene typical of the village all around it!
