Μια εντυπωσιακή τσιμεντένια κατασκευή, αγκαλιάζει τον τεράστιο όγκο του νερού της λίμνης. Το Φράγμα μήκους 220μ. που έχει δημιουργηθεί, συγκράτησε τα νερά του Ταυρωπού, που κάλυψαν το οροπέδιο της Νεβρόπολης και δημιούργησε τη λίμνη Πλαστήρα. Σήμερα αποτελεί ένα όμορφο σημείο για να αγναντέψει κανείς τη λίμνη, αλλά και την πίσω πλευρά του φράγματος που βουτά σε βάθος 83μ., κάθετα ανάμεσα στα βράχια. Εδώ ντόπιοι παραγωγοί εμπορεύονται σουβενίρ αλλά και διάφορα τοπικά προϊόντα. Η περιοχή δείχνει βέβαια μια εγκατάλειψη και ο δρόμος προς το φράγμα πρέπει να αποκατασταθεί γρήγορα μετά τις πρόσφατες πλημμύρες Το φράγμα της λίμνης Ταυρωπού ή αλλιώς (όπως έχει επικρατήσει) Λίμνη Πλαστήρα. Είναι μια πολύ ωραία ταξιδιωτική εμπειρία στην κεντρική Ελλάδα με μια όμορφη διαδρομή σε αλπικό τοπίο. Εκεί θα βρεί ο ταξιδιώτης και διάφορα τοπικά προϊόντα όπως μέλι, διάφορα ηδύποτα κλπ. Πραγματικά αξίζει μια επίσκεψη οποιαδήποτε εποχή του χρόνου Ωραίο μέρος για στάση αν και δημιουργείτε λίγο θέμα με τα λεωφορεία. Very picturesque dam. Vicino alla barriera si può comprare miele e altri prodotti del territorio. Era molto caldo e avevo sete, nessuno vendeva acqua. Vendevano soltanto Grappa. A very beautiful man made lake located in Karditsa region with a beautiful from the sorrounding mountains. There are several activities at and on the lake like; water cycling, canoeing, kayaking, archery etc Beautiful place! The route to the dam is magnificent and the landscape is unique for nature lovers Όμορφο μέρος! Θα χρειαζόταν λίγη ''τουριστική'' συντήρηση. Ωστόσο παραμένει όμορφο. Ένα πολύ όμορφο σημείο, ένα αξιοθέατο της περιοχής για την ακρίβεια, στην οποία αν βρεθείτε είναι καλό να επισκεφθείτε. Αν πάτε σε περίοδο με αρκετό κόσμο και επισκεψιμότητα ίσως χρειαστεί να παρκάρετε μακριά το αυτοκίνητο σας και να χρειαστεί να περπατήσετε κάποια μέτρα μέχρι το φράγμα. Υπάρχουν αρκετοί μικροπωλητές στο σημείο με διάφορα τοπικά προϊόντα που αξίζει να αγοράσετε! Θα ήθελα κάποιον τύποις ξεναγό εκεί για να έλεγε δυό πράγματα για το φράγμα και την λίμνη . The dam and was very nice, but does not worth any detour for that. Surrounding attractions and convenience is somewhat limited. The area has a lot of unfulfilled potential and seem to be much more picturesque at winter or fall times. A very nice dam to take tour drone out and have some fun....
