I was there for a driving awareness course but the facilities offered were OK Went here to see the 2024 Orchid Show today in their function room. Very busy and cramped but, it did quieten down a bit. Large bar in next room over looking sports ground, very family oriented, lots of small children and seemed to be a kiddies party going on too. Sports TVs. Hot lunches served but, we just had coffee and a half of cider, both enjoyed. Very polite and friendly staff. Terrible. The food took for ever. Normally nice but not this time. Burger was hard and over done. The pie was chewy and 100% put in the microwave. The pastry was sweaty and not good at all. And on top of that they lost our food order after one hour told us this. There was 18 of us only a small amount of was happy enough with it. You got to remember a posh pub in Romsey the pie and chips our £16. All fresh with pastry top and bottom good amount of chip and on time. Yours £15 frozen chips and tuff as old boots meat. Sorry but Normally very good. Must have a new chef. second time here for an event. We have previously been to a tribute night, and tonight it was our line dance party .The club is so clean, friendly staff, big car park, and very reasonable prices at bar. Gone there for a private birthday event. Place was very lively. Looked like a good place to hire out for events. Bar available and they also do food Attended a motorhome rally here for 3 nights, and enjoyed two very nice meals here. This is a fantastic Club as it has so great sports centres and I used to play cricket there before 2001 but had left Dorset 2002 to 2021 We went to the Hamwirthy Club after it was recommended as a place to hold the wake after a family members funeral at Poole Crematorium. The club is ideally located 5 minutes drive from the crematorium. The staff were very helpful and attentive whilst making the arrangements and everything went as planned on the day. The food was excellent and at a very reasonable price. Tea and coffee is included in the price. I have no problem in recommending this venue.
