A lovely place for a stroll with great views either side of the spit. Fascinating looking at all the different huts and looking them up to see how expensive they are. Worth doing for a laugh. You can get an icecream down here and there's a land train if you don't want to walk back. An absolutely beautiful place to be. It's quiet and friendly. With stunning views of the Isle of Wight from there. Cafe by the there supplies everything you need. Can't recommend enough. Love, love, love this place 🥰 Gorgeous sandy beaches, you can walk in from Hengestbury Head which is a beautiful walk or take a ferry boat from Mudeford or Christchurch. Such a great day out with all the amenities you could want. Drinks, food and toilets or even hire a hut. Highly recommend for a family day out or relaxing couples weekend ❤️ Beautiful scenery, clean and surrounding area, lots of space to walk, guarded beach, everything you need for the day! Just take water shoes, there is plenty of stones, but water today was delightful! Nice little boat trip over to the - which is lovely. Great little food/drink outlet there, serving good food & hot drinks all-day. Nice walk up to Hengistbury head too, with great views & local Street art. Stunning place, the inner river is perfect for kayaking and the other side of the spit is great for fun, a small ferry can take you over to the other side of the quay and a land train will take you up a private road to the car park at Hengistbury Head. this place is perfect for kids to ride bikes as the only vehicle is the land train. One of our favourite places to visit each year. Mainly for the crabbing which is fun, plentiful and fairly cheap to buy all you need at the little shop. The beach, which you reach via the ferry is lovely. Nice sand, dunes, ticks to climb and an amazing variety of food and drink. (absolutely delicious coffee) Great vibe something for everyone. Lost a star as the toilets were absolutely disgusting. I mean reeeeeeeaaaly bad. 🤢 Parking is an event in itself, it's heaving and cars queuing from 9am to the evening. Arrive early or you have no hope! This place is like a hidden sand jewel, after a stunning view on the Hengistbury Head cliff. A tiny spot with such a beautiful landscape. It is possible to rent a hut, but walking there and spending the day is already magic.
