The sculpture park was relaxing and visually stimulating venue. I loved how tranquility of it was. The vibe of the place is incredible, very chilled, but with a lot to see and great walking around looking at all the art The place is incredible. The coffee was good in the and we had a picnic. Absolutely beautiful place. Full of beautiful Sculptures. Has a lovely restaurant and shop. Loads of parking. Flat even paths to walk around and areas on the to hire out if you want to. Definitely worth the entrance fee. Thoroughly enjoyed our today the tranquility of the walk round the lakes and made a very enjoyable morning. Stopping and enjoying the views as went round. Followed by lunch at the cafe. And a browse round the shop .toilets and free parking. 2 4 25 this is an update to our last year. The lakes and are still fantastic. Unfortunately the food in the not to the same standard as last time. Service on slow side my bacon and egg bap bacon over cooked as well as the egg and only just warm. Will keep the five stars for the lakes and only. Absolutely incredible place! Definitely worth visiting. Loads of various and variety of trees. Beautiful views. Free car park, cafe, gallery. Also you could rent some Pod's (dotted around the lake) for romantic and private dates 🥰 Visited in January..not much colour at the moment. But in the warmer months this place would be something else.a bit cold but a very nice relaxing walk around the lakes with a coffee..dogs welcome. Which is a bonus..Will try & again in summer.. Lovely place for the whole family, friends. Take away coffee available. There is a restaurant and toilets on site. I think minimum spending is 1, 5 hours. Lovely place where you can enjoy the nature and art side. Relaxing, enjoyable, beautiful, must place. You want to be disappointed. I think the best to is May- June season, when nature is waking up and blooming. However, all other is also worth visiting. We loved it. It's only the high entrance fee that meant I gave it 4 not 5 stars. The afternoon tea was also expensive but was a real treat especially for my coeliac mother - book ahead though! An absolutely lovely place to visit. Very serene. Had breakfast in the kitchen beforehand. Food excellent. Younger staff not so friendly. Although lots of seating around lake, it was all taken. Had a amazing day here walking around their lake. Awesome set in and around their grounds. Coffee shop and restaurant food looked amazing but didn't eat there. But take your own food and have a picnic at one of the seating area's. We went on a week day out of school holidays so it didn't feel busy.oh and if you book online you pay £15 instead of £16.50 Wow, what a lovely, relaxing and visually stimulating venue. I loved how tranquil it was, the vibe of the place is incredible, very chilled, but with a lot to see. Being a huge owl fan I loved the many barn owl sculptures. I also loved the metal egg swing bench near the river and the large round swing bed/seat near the lake. The place is incredible. The coffee was good and the Kinder brookie was excellent too. This is a calm place that is great for getting away from it all. There are plenty of wild birds and fresh air. The on site is great. It's good value, and the service was outstanding. We are looking forward to returning in the summer We started with food. French toast was delicious, buttery fluffy brioche bread and it had a lovely caramelised sugar crust on top. The cream and compote served alongside was perfect. The avocado, egg, and bacon selection was wonderful, cooked to perfection and tasted fantastic. We were tempted by the cherry cheesecake (we missed out on a cherry dessert somewhere else recently and that needed to be fulfilled!) And we weren't disappointed! No-bake, rich, thick, cheesecake, with an incredibly light base, and delicious set cherry jelly. It was so good, we almost forgot to take a photo till the end! Setting was calm, warm and inviting, staff were lovely girls. The shop was well stocked and lots of interesting things for sale. The loos were clean and modern, not what I was expecting for a place out in the sticks. The walk around the was calm, peaceful and very interesting. There were a few that we really liked and some we didn't understand the meaning. We enjoyed our out and look forward to coming in the summer where there appears to be a outdoor eating/bbq area. It’s a beautiful place to visit, especially on a summer’s day. Very peaceful and relaxed, you can take you wandering around the - at least two loops to do both halves of the path and see everything. There’s also a small kitchen garden with flowers, vegetables and fruit which is pretty to see. Excellent food and drinks in the onsite - would recommend the sticky ginger cake - but you can also get takeaway sandwiches from the pantry or bring in your own picnic. The tickets were a little on the expensive side at £16.50pp (if you book online there’s a £1.50 discount) but understand they are very focused on conservation and ecology, which probably comes with higher maintenance costs. All in all a nice day out. Peace and tranquility. I have visited twice now and have been very impressed both times. While there were many more people there the second visit, it still didn't feel crowded. This is a wonderful place to to breathe deep and unload. Sit by the river or lay on the grass, wander through the formal gardens and read the plaques in the path. There are many places to sit and ponder or just enjoy the sculpture. The whole place is cleverly laid out and the art is thought provoking. I will be going back again and again. If you are anywhere near this amazing place, it's a must-visit. So many stunning beautifully set in a naturalistic landscape around a lake. No under 14s allowed because of the deep water. Shop, and toilets on site, ample parking.
