This lovely restaurant has a nice affordable menu with many local food the setting and the service is verry nice Amazing place and food. The were all very professional and friendly. The owner (not confirmed, but I believe she was the owner) was very nice and patient with explaining what is available to be ordered. The food was excellent, especially the starter with lobster sauce, and my steak - best steak I have had in many years - so juicy and not chewy at all, cooked to perfection. Well done and thank you to the chef. If there is a 6th start I would definitely give this place 6 stars. What can be said about the Restaurant De Reghter....mmmmmm, now let me see, I have travelled in many countries of this world, and eaten in restaurants in every one, eating good meals, bad meals and indifferent meals, BUT, the De Reghter has to go to the top of my list, not only for the astounding food, not only for the astonishing location, but also for the knowledgeable and friendly waiting staff, who go out of their way to make your stay with them truly memorable. Five stars is not really enough! My only regret is that I leave in the morning to continue my travels through the glorious Netherlands, but.....I shall be back! Een leuke plek waar je heerlijk kunt eten en de bediening charmant en vriendelijk is. De gerechten zijn goed van kwaliteit, hoeveelheid en worden mooi vormgegeven. Een aanrader om met een vrienden of familie te bezoeken. Je hebt voldoende ruimte en kunt gezellig met elkaar praten. Om te parkeren moet je op drukke dagen een paar minuutjes lopen, maar er is altijd wel een plaatsje te vinden op loopafstand in de prachtige historische straatjes van de Rijp. Menu van de chef was heerlijk. Truly the best restaurant I've been in the Netherlands until now. The food is ABSOLUTELY amazing. We started with Farmers Country Bread with dips ... the dips (herbs and aioli)... brilliant ... I had the fish of the day which was halibut fillet with pasta and sauce ... I could eat this meal every day. My partner had the burger which was the best combination of meat, bacon, cheese and caramelized onion. Excellent. The was very helpful explaining the food and also the source (mostly local!) of the products. De Rijp is also a very charming place to spend a weekend afternoon. Klein minpuntje was dat we iets later (al nadat we besteld hadden) bij een andere tafel hoorde dat er opties naast de kaart waren. En die opties spraken ons wel aan. Hadden we graag gehoord bij het bestellen want dan hadden we heerlijke oesters gegeten. Nice cosy environment. Very friendly staff, knowledgeable about the servings. Not cheap but well worth it. We hebben erg lekker gegeten!
