I stayed in Camping area.It eas good. but electcity had low capacity so that there were several blackout in our camping site. Staff was very kind. Very nice camping. Quiet. Friendly and helpful owners. One can order bread and rent canoes. Great place to discover "Noord Holland" part of Netherlands by car or bike. Recommended for example: dunes of Schoorl. Medemblik. Alkmaar. Great farm location for access to town by 20 min bike ride into the centre along great cycle paths. We were lucky enough to be here in August and take the cruise boat from the canal right outside the site 0900-1600 and dropped outside the famous cheese market. Every Friday morning during the summer and we’ll worth a visit. Owners nice and welcoming €14 per person per night all inclusive (50cents for good shower) We have been visiting this family camping for 3 days in Alkmaar. Its very near the city and very nice area. Great welcoming and great service. Sanitary is great and clean, good sice of the camping spot for our 8 meter mobile home, and its great that you stand flat on concrete and you have good lot of gras, short distance to electricity. We recommend this campsite The campsite looks like a lot of effort was put into it when it first opened, but it has significantly aged since then. The animals on the site appear neglected, and the water in their enclosures look terrible. There is a white German Shepherd that barks loudly and snaps at the guests. The sanitary facilities are acceptable, but cleanliness leaves much to be desired. The owners were friendly but not overly engaged. It used to be nice here, but now it's hell for tourists. Intolerance spread throughout Alkmaar. It's terrifying. Start recording or you might get in trouble Had no problems with the campsite itself. Interactions with staff were few, but polite. We appreciated the shower rooms and the rental bikes. Our stay wasn't as pleasant as we'd hoped, though, because of the poor weather.
