I love this wonderful piece of nature where most of the time we are completely alone, strolling through the ruins, over the meadows and down to the river side. There the atmosphere is truly enchanting! Although we are living only a few kilometers distant in PARADISO INTEGRALE, right in the middle of NATURE, we visit the parco archeologico 2-3 times a week. The walk is a pure pleasure - and the cappuccino at the Casottino at the entrance of the park is the best ever. Hopefully this site will maintain its beauty and won't disappear behind fences or lots of people. The enchantment you can breath here at the moment might get lost...... Really interesting walk around, especially the amphitheatre (with underground tunnels). Bit hot in the middle of the day 😡, but makes the beer in the bar at the top all the more appreciated Perfect mix of ancient history and nature Interesting park and very pretty views. But do make sure you start at the Visitors' center and don't drive anywhere else. The roads in the area are insanely narrow! This is an amazing gem!
