Just little of the original castle is preserved. However, this is a perfect scenic spot with views on Balaton Lake. Fantasztikus kilátás a tanúhegyekre: még Sümeg, a Somló és a Ság is látszik. Get the bus to Gyulakeszi or park at the car park at the bottom of the hill, it’s a fairly long hike to the top and it’s a slope obviously, beautiful views along the way and especially once you get to the top. Make sure to bring water! Castle is worth the wait Beautiful castle ruin with a plain ground and a few tables around it. Great to rest for a several minutes after ascending to the top of the hill. Difficult underfoot with loose gravel, stones and a tricky stepped section. 360 degree views towards Balaton, Bakony etc from summit. Hill crowned by moody 13th c castle destroyed by the Turks. But the signs to get here were clear and easy to spot. The parking was also not too far. The view from up here was amazing! Huuu, this is a magnificent spot. In spite of having only ruins here you can sense the history. Panorama is top. Nice hike. It's a bit steep going up. Best to wear good shoes and take some water. There are many, many beautiful things to see at the Balaton Uplands. But Csobánc is definitely a must see and definitely in my Top 3 favorite places in Veszprém country. You have a 360° view from here. Nice little hike. Not the most demanding but I suggest a good shoe that has some grip. Amazing experience. Big hike but worth it Nagyon szép hely, gyönyörű kilátás, az egyik legjobb felvidéki túra helyszín Die Burgruine ist vom Parkplatz unterhalb des Berges in ca. 40 Minuten zu Fuss zu erreichen. Die Wegweiser sind bis auf einem kurzen Stück am Anfang des Weges sehr gut zu erkennen. Von oben hat man dann eine sehr schöne Rundum Sicht in alle Richtungen. Auch der Balaton ist zu sehen. Es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall dorthin zu gehen.
