A nice place to visit on Orø. Its not massive but there is enough to walk around and keep the kiddies busy. I recommend the tractor tour that takes you out to the large fields and you feed the horses, deers and bison. It's also live guided in danish. There are petting areas for families which include goats, rabbits, guinea pigs. A talking Parrott and feeding times for most the including the crocs. It's not cheap family of 4. 2x adults and 2x kids 4 & 6 cost almost 500kr. Which includes the tractor tour. We also couldn't pre-book tickets either. One thing to note is you couldn't buy food there. Not lunch or dinner. There was popcorn, slushies and sweets. Overall it was an enjoyable day 😀 worth a visit if on Orø. Nice fun :-) Now it was on the preperation for summer, but it is very nice place, which leaves good impression of care. A good experience outside, however the conditions for some caged were quite bad in my opinion... Big parrots with no room to fly or even spread their wings. A tiny dirty cage for monkeys inside a building with very bad odour. No greenery for a lot of the animals. Exciting to see the up close, but it is sub-par conditions Excellent visit. We had the park to ourselves and we had a blast with the great variety of animals, especially Cookie the Parrot with whom we had a verbal conversation and the tiny monkeys whom were being really naughty but cute. Egentlig skulle Påskeferien bruges på at renovere et værelse, men Skærtorsdag var det næsten sommer. Vi valgte derfor at tage en tur til dyreparken på Orø. Dyreparken er perfekt til en god familieudflugt. Antallet af forskellige dyr er ikke så imponerende, men hele atmosfæren og muligheden for også at gøre turen til en familie picnic, er med til at gøre besøget til en helt særlig oplevelse. Vi blev mødt af det lokale Lemur kor (se fotos), og jeg fik en ny kæreste (en lama med dybe brune øjne og kysseklare læber :-)). Børnene er ikke glemt. Der er små opgaver, der belønnes med en slikkepind, når de er løst. Kaniner, marsvin og fritgående dyr, der må nusses, klappes og snakkes med, er også med til at gøre turen spændende. En helt speciel oplevelse får du inde hos silkeaberne. De er ikke menneskesky. Prøv det selv ;-). Det var en dejlig tur og et dejligt besøg i Orøstrand Dyrepark. Jeg kan varmt anbefale det, hvis I pakker madkurven hjemmefra. Great place where children can play with animals. The do not seem to live in okay conditions. It’s not clean, the cages are too small and depressing. Children are allowed to play with the without supervision. The cage with monkeys is the worst and the smell is horrible. They looked sad and stressed. We were sad after the visit. The cats were handled roughly by children and seemed to have infected eyes. I hope they will have fewer and create safe spaces for the to go if they don’t want to be petted. Lille Dyrepark er godt kunne trænge til en opfrisker.. hvilket er mildt sagt..
