Even with all the heavy rain we've had, the ground staff have managed to keep the course open and playable, still using the T's and greens with winter rules in place. Keep up the great work, guys!! Really friendly staff that took time to talk to us before we teed off. It has a driving range, chipping area, putting green and changing room area. The gold course is well kept for a municipal course and challenging enough for all handicaps We recently visited Thorpe wood golf course we’d not been there in years…. The course is in good condition, excellent greens and great value to play. The overall facilities, with driving etc are also very good. Particularly outstanding was the service we received from Chris who works in the Golf Reception building. We’re looking forward to return soon…😀 Great Course, Driving and Service! I used the Driving on Saturday, it is the best I've used. Such a pity I'm only working in the area and it's not near my home. I met the manager whilst I was there, Chis is very helpful and friendly, apart from being a LFC supporter.🤣 We had a good chat, I didn't realise that Thorpe Wood is a public course. It looks immaculate. Absolutely love coming here with the kids just hitting the golf ball as hard as you can and just releasing your frustration for the first few shots. The staff are amazing and very polite and friendly always look forward to the next visit. Used the driving a number of times. Great facilities and excellent staff. Had a lesson yesterday with Aaron Jones… highly recommend if you need anything tweaking or starting from scratch. I had issues with chipping onto the green and within the hour lesson, problem solved and I’m looking forward to my next round! Staff were all very polite and helpful. Really interesting course layout as well, would certainly visit again. A very very underrated set of pay and play courses, the greens and fairways are properly looked after all year round it’s an amazing pair of courses especially if you live local. Well done everybody who works hard to keep them looking lovely we are very lucky in Peterborough Beautiful Drove over 35 mins and arrived at 8pm to be told no balls available! Complete waste of journey and fuel cost. When challenging why no balls, we were informed the balls are collected at 6am and the has been busy today. Poor excuse, especially when we have visited previously and had seen the balls being collected in the afternoon. Plus three other golfers, who had finished playing, confirmed they also arrived on a previous occasion to be told no balls! Clearly not the first and no doubt won’t be the last time.
