Lovely dining setting in the large conservatory, which has a covered roof so works in all weathers, with widows on all sides looking over the fields. My partner had a full English, the sausages and bacon were delicious! And I had a toastie that you could taste had had butter on the outside of the bread before toasting, which gave a really great flavour and texture! There was also a very well stocked veg stall outside that we got some lovely chard and mushrooms from 🌟 Attended for the first time today at my friend's baby shower. I had the ham, leek and potato soup with a cup of tea. The soup was by far the nicest soup I've ever had at any establishment, would absolutely order it again and would also come back to visit the lovely shop and try some more off the menu. All the ladies were polite and attentive, thank you all. It is lovely, the cafe has been extended & they allow dog in, which is special. I only wish that their coffee was stronger. The flat white is more like a bland cappuccino, instead of a lush strong coffee with a creamy consistency on top. Maybe go up the road to the Fineshade Woods cafe, for a better cup. The 3 stars are for the coffee, not the campsite. The staff are very friendly & I will endeavour to ask for my coffee to be stronger on our next visit.
