The arena would be amazing if people would go to basketball matches. The question is: where is the Cibona fun shop? They are handling this place in the awful possible way and tourists are that place didn't understand that there is the temple of Dražen! Spektakl! One of the favourite sport venues for all locals. Unfortunately, Croatian baseball is not doing so well over the last 20 years, so the venue is getting less and less "impressive". Even so, the 5000 seat Cibona basketball venue remains a traditional Zagreb sports and culture place. I've been there for the first time for basketball game between Croatia and Sweden. It was very easy to find seats, it is spatious, and the view from the seats was awesome. Najljepši trenuci There's a huge parking lot and it's free during working hours (they close the gates after hours), the shop is well equipped but the cashiers look and feel like they want to commit self........harm...overworked to the core 👎 ...Usually they are slow so people in line get pissed and it's not uncommon for someone to start yelling...Maybe management should employ more people so more cash registers can operate at the same time or install self checkout counters. I came to Zagreb only for this. I wasn't impressed that much. The statue amazing, the staff amazing. Very nice, modern, spacious sport arena. Next to it there is Museum of Dražen Petrović, a legend of Croatian basketball (1964- 1993). There you can learn about his life, his enthusiasm, his achievement and generally about his very short life. Great atmosphere, sound is very good, seating and ventilation could be better tho! Unfortunately, when I visited, the museum was under repairs. But I got a nice cup of coffee at the themed café right at the square in front of Drazen's statue! I'm playing games here and the court is great! The place to visit if you're interested in Croatian sports history, basketball especially.
