We ran out of time to see the and (which I deeply regret) because it looks pretty spectacular. You can walk around the small off of the cafe and the close but all else must have a paid entry ticket. I hope to return and see the whole estate. Burghley are really beautiful and a visit. The space feels peaceful and well looked after, with lots of flowers, trees and little paths to explore. I enjoyed walking around and taking my time because every corner had something different to see. The are big enough to wander without feeling crowded, but still easy to get around. It’s a nice place for a quiet walk, photos, or just sitting and enjoying the surroundings. Definitely a spot I’d recommend if you’re nearby. A beautiful Elizabeth stately home with amazing and a deer park. The inside is absolutely stunning. The courtyard sculpture and fountain area are a frequent where you can sit in the stunning and have a picnic near the lake. I'm happy to say this is on my doorstep. This being said, it's definitely the price, we have found them very enjoyable and an amazing day out with the kids. Totally reccomended for a cultural day, or a "green" field day, for families, singles, couples, friends... We went in early November before the closed for the winter. We were very impressed with the amount of space for to run around in. The surprise was good although the first set of mirrors were ordinary mirrors when we thought they might be fun distorting ones. The mirror maze was great...easy to lose your children! All the trees were very pretty in their autumn colours and the lake is nice with some benches if you want to sit and take in the scenery. The gift shops and cafe are good if a bit pricey. The was lovely. We enjoyed having the freedom to walk around ourselves instead of joining a tour. Amazing frescoes and history. Included in the entrance fees were leaflets for both the and gardens. Great entertainment for to do, the was stunning even those we wizz round due to toddler age however great book to entertain for older children. Love the ceiling especially the heaven and hell stair. Great cafe, great shop to browse however can be pricey for family size. Disabled can be a struggled, however I have noticed there are wheelchair upstairs and downstairs with stairlift operate but may have to find assisted who are not far away from it. There are plenty of toilet everywhere and bin provided. Amazing to see the area tidy. Plenty of walking round the and inside the garden. Best is visiting the moles adventure playground. The amount it spent on is very popular for to play. Great way to entertain young toddler at front ending with older playground at the back joint with sculpture next to it. We'd never been here before so we thought we'd investigate the plus there was a food event on with lots of stalls. Loads of lovely grub not only to eat there and then but also to take away, such as jams, brownies, pies etc. The themselves were lovely and the sculptures interesting and curious. Lots of things to do for little ones too such as an Adventure Park. This place is absolutely stunning, such a beautiful and the art on display here is insane, the ceiling murals are just mind-boggling with the detail and expanse of them. The staff/volunteers were really friendly and had plenty of knowledge, but were not pushy or overbearing, always saying hello and then letting you decide if you want to ask some questions.
