The Fort is the biggest in Romania and near it there is the largest civic building, the roman theatre. The audio guide helps understand the buildings and the life here. The views are also beautiful, as this was in a pass and at the border of the empire. Having said that, it could be exploited much better from a tourist perspective, as the signs are very poor, you cannot learn enough about the historical context, you do not know what became of it after Romans. There is no shop available and actually just a guard who sells tickets, no professional historian to have a tour. It is much better than Potaissa Turda which is a mess, but still not enough - check out roman cities and forts in Western Europe! Este bine ca exista. Reconstructiile nu sunt chiar profesional facute, insa are totusi un rol didactic. Si locul este bun pentru o plimbare. A landmark of history and culture. Went there a few weeks ago with my family. The place is pretty well maintained and you find lots of informative panels. We did not found any guide at the entrance besides the guardian where you have to pay an entrance fee. Make sure you have cash with you because you can't pay with a card. There are some parking lots there that could be full at some point depending on the amount of visitors. There are also clean restrooms near the entrance. The view and the scene is spectacular an worth visiting if you enjoy nature and historical places. Such a nice place and to think it’s almost 2000 years old, it’s amazing. Peaceful walk through the Roman city. Nice place. The place itself is great, deserves 5 stars. However I need to give only one star as a sign if my disappointment, as we were not allowed to bring our photo camera, as it is a “professional camera” and it costs 300 lei. Seems like the guardian is unable to read their own signs where it writee that professional photo and video for weddings and baptism tax. Not for families… but photo with phone is allowed. This level of stupidity is outrageous. Really well preserved and documented historical site. Well worth a visit. Great view too. Very nice place. Must visit For the history and trail lovers this place is amazing.
