Around the there is a biking path, a lot of green areas where you can grill, children's playgrounds, courts for volleyball and other sports, restaurants and night clubs. All that you need for active and less active weekend and family gatherings. Nice runaway from the city crowd, eventough, during weekend is fully crowded, if you want peace better go during week or visit one of the islands on Jarun and just chill in grass. Beautiful lakes in Zagreb, called Zagreb sea. Visited by lots of people, got bars, night clubs, handball, football and other courts, beaches, small islands, trim for workout on 2 places. Love to visit it and recommend. By day or night, always good time. Beautiful Place... It's breathtaking in sunset... I had a wonderful day in the side... There is beach swimming area, water sports like boating and kayaking... If you don't want to get into water.. Then in line skating, biking or jogging or just walking around.... If you are tired sip some coffee or juice or whatever you want... Then you can have barbecue.. There is so much to do.. Jarun or Yarun lake... A beautiful place to spend the day and have a nice bath. The water is very clean and there are some ducks wandering around. There are some small restaurants as well if you want to have a snack or a drink while you are there. Overall a must see place if you are traveling to Zagreb in the summer. Great outdoor area for cycling, jogging or walking alongside the lake. Also has designated places for barbeques. Great place to spend the weekend afternoon with family and friends. I would be even better if it had more to offer, a lot of the space is kind of wasted.
