The interior looks nicely decorated, service is very kind and there's a huge terrace behind. Although the place is dog friendly, it's also smoke what doesn't impress me since it's a habit that belongs more to the past rather than 2025/26. It would be better if only e-cigarettes were allowed instead of regular ones since not only they smell less, but it's also newer technology. It's the same as driving a car with a carbureted engine versus that with fuel injection. Previously, there was a non-smoking establishment in it's place, but after it closed down, unfortunately this came. Music is also quite loud, but since it's a bar, it needs to be loud. Decent pub, can get smoky and loud at the weekend. They do have a few outdoor spots tables, but limited. Barkeep was friendly. Many majority probably being produced in Croatia. People were really friendly. Only negative part, available still in many places in Croatia, is smoking inside. Price were reasonable. Nice pub with of on tap. staff. Smoking is allowed, as per the Croatian bar culture, but the new outdoor seating, that's largely available throughout the day, now provides an option for non-smokers. The word "bar" is after all in the name of the place, and it's there with full meaning. This is not a brewpub, nor a taproom, nor a hall. It's a bar with a fantastic of beer. You can read the numerized table outside, or above the bar on the inside, and then tell the keepers the number and size you're going for. There's also a refrigerated of canned that can be bought as takeout. It's not the most courteous place in the world. The keepers have maintained a no-nonsense approach for a long time. It makes the atmosphere safe for everyone regardless of their identity, which is unfortunately not always the case in the country and the wider region. Valhalla is my favourite bar in Zagreb! Always a fantastic of extremely fresh on tap and a wonderful collection on bottles and cans too, ranging from classic style German Helles lagers to Belgium Tripels, and of course brewed here in Croatia. I'd say its the best value in the city! There is always some Rock and heavy music playing inside, and  outside seating too. They take card and the staff have always been helpful and friendly. After I order and pay I discover there is no smoking area. Fine if that’s the tradition here but imo if you’re opening a bar it’s cause you prioritise taste over mainstream shite.
