They expect that you will buy another hookah for 30 euros. They are only focused on making money. The service was exceptionally rude, they can laugh in your face, and every one of my friends felt uncomfortable. Very mocking attitude towards tourists, completely unfriendly. Good drinks and atmosphere but absolutely terrible from a dj which you would hear from a kids disco. The bar had a playlist on which was chill summer house only for the DJ to come in and play hard 2010s dance so early on in the night without reading what the crowd actually wanted. They don’t accept cards. The cocktails are full of water and barely have any alcohol. The waiters overcharged us by 30 euros on the total bill. My group and I spent over 1,000 euros there. When it started raining, they yelled at us for taking shelter in the bar—even though we had ordered drinks, so we weren’t just loitering. Later, we asked for a reservation for seven people—we were ready to spend a lot again—but the waiter told us to book through Instagram instead of directly. We sent a message immediately, and they replied six hours later saying there was no availability. We still showed up and asked again, but they told us there was nothing for us. Each of us spent over 1,000 euros, and it still wasn’t enough for decent treatment. The speakers are terrible. Some of the staff even make nationalist remarks toward foreigners. And I’m local. The owner is rude and arrogant. The cocktails we got were barely filled and tasted like pure water. The bathroom is completely inappropriate—just two urinals placed so close that you can see each other’s private parts. The glass is dirty, and there’s no toilet paper. The waiters deliberately ignore us—we waited up to 30 minutes just to place an order, and then another 30 minutes to actually get our drinks. The prices listed on the menu are different from what they charge you in person. Despite the many bad comments, I appreciate this place. We went there with my friend and we are both 40+ guys and believe me we really look like suspicious bad guys although we are good people (we are engineers 🙂). I've immediately noticed that the security staff kept a close eye on us. Which is fine, I'm used to this. For a moment I thought they want to kick us out for no reason but it turned out that the owner just wanted to help us finding a free table in the chaos. The owner and all security guys acted respectfully with us and that's already a big thing in Makarska if you are the old guy in the kindergarden disco who just wants to have a drink and enjoy the music.
