Plenty of souvenirs, memorabilia and some refreshments available as well as information boards about the history of the park (in German and English). Brochures in multiple languages were free of charge, however the English one was completely missing, therefore I had to ask for it at the counter. What is shocking is the fact there is no free map of the area and its monuments available, therefore visitors must rely on online maps and signposting in the park, or buy a map. Staff did not really speak English, were not friendly at all and failed to inform me about some difficulty with the combined ticket. If you want to visit the inside of the Löwenburg Castle you need to book a guide tour online in advance! Unfortunately it was too late for me. The service was poor and not helpful! Toilets available at the location. Be careful as payments are possible only with cash! Beautiful and magical. Hard to believe this is all mechanical. Lovely to just walk around . General: We walked from Hercules monument to all the way to Museum Hessen Kassel. You can see on the map, it will take around 39 minutes walking from the top to the bottom. However, If you want visit all the stations on the way, it might take you longer than that. It takes us about more than 3 hours. ▪︎Experience: It was lovely the way down as you can see from the photos. We got to all the stations on the way down. It was all beautiful. We took a few breaks in between, just sat there to watch the scenery. ▪︎Small notes: -For the girls, please do not listen to your boyfriend, it is not a "breezy walk to a castle", do NOT wear teen sandals for this, wear sneakers. -You don't need to buy a map at the receptionist, using Google map is enough. If you see a path too small to walk, cover buy trees, look like it goes to a dead-end. Just turn back. -On Sunday, there are no busses in the bottom to go back up. Plan this well before you go, we had to take a taxi to go back up because our car parking up. I think the bus run only on Wednesday to go up 🤔 ♡In sum up I would love to visit here again, it was lovely. Definitely worth one complete day trip❤️! Come only Sundays and Wednesdays before 14:30 for seeing waterfalls. If you don't want to climb 3 km up from bottom to Hercules top, best suggestion is to park here. Parking here PKW ist 8.50 € and that includes your family's to take the bus back to Hercules once you reach the Wilhelmshöhe schloss (bottom). The Hercules top costs extra 6 € and the schloss 🏰 down with Musium costs as well. Bestest suggestion is to get a small map from the visitor centre immediately before you start club down. Kinderwagen: The shortest way includes, more than 500 footsteps where you have to fold your kinderwagen and walk down. Otherwise walk extra 1-1.5 km through the jungle to reach the 💦 waterfall (aka. First station). Take snacks and beers with you the way down, so that you can chill and relax as much you can. Gorgeous. Here is a very nice, beautiful place, where is suitable for picnic with friends, family. With just 6 Euros, we can climb to the highest place of the monument and visit an old castle, and a huge art museum with 3 floor of antique painting.
