Already played some courses in Slovakia, so I was looking forward to play here. Honestly I love the place love the landscape. Course was in great condition, fast greens, great teeboxes. If I compare this place to Penati, cannot give 5 stars. Reason is that facilities like restaurant service are poor and I miss the polite attitude toward the customer from recepetion. Might come again, but will not eat there and will not buy anything in pro-shop. Beautiful golf, very challenging, well maintained, 5 stars, but the club house is sub par, needs a big refresh. The views are spectacular, with a course that seemed to have two faces; the front nine is almost links like - very open and challenging with any wind. The back nine, is more parkland with pristine fairways and greens. An absolutely stunning venue. And finally the staff - fantastic! Mid May is the beginning of the season for Gray Bear, our group of 9 were the only ones playing the course and the staff were very accommodating and welcoming! Would recommend to any who want a truly fantastic experience. I have played only Little bear course so far, but it was nice for a training. I will definitely go to play main course in near future. The restaurant has nice view on the course, food is tasty and staff is friendly. Visited here 28th September. We were a group of 10. The course simply incredible, breathtaking scenery, really beautiful layout of the course that means every hole is a picture card view. The condition was fantastic despite heavy rain the previous week. One of the best courses I have played in 25 years of golf. Everyone in our group said they would come back without hesitation. Highly recommend this course if you’re looking for hidden gem away from the usual summer locations. I have visited many courses in many countries, but this is the first time I have received this kind of response. I made a reservation for 10:10 tee-up on the website the day before, paid for it, and visited the next day, but they said I could tee-up at 10:40 because there was a competition. The receptionist didn’t say sorry (as the reservation was open and I booked the day before), furthermore she didn’t take her eyes off the computer monitor all the time while I was talking to her. I completely understand that receptionist doesn’t speak English. If she showed some effort and looked at me and talked to me even though her english isn’t good, it wouldn’t be a problem. The course was good, but the receptionist was the worst.
