The area is quite large so you will find a spot even on busy days. There are places for barbeque with fixed grills. Fishing is allowed on the side with reed (opposite the beach side). Also semi-children friendly; not so close to traffic, but parents still need to keep an eye since it is also close to water. The park is also surrounded by path for joggers and/or walkers to spend sometime exercising instead of just sitting. I spend a lot of time here with my dog, would be nice if leash restrictions were off for a couple hours a day. Has a wonderful artificial pond with ducks and geese in which you can also swim. What an absolute find! This sprawling area is made up of green patches and man-made lakes. It also has walking/running paths and little bridges along with a basketball court and a beach volleyball pit of sorts. At the extreme end of this space is an elevated vantage point that enables you to see more or less the entire stretch. Opfikerpark is easily accessible from multiple tram and bus stops (e.g. Fernsehstudio, Glattpark, Lindberghplatz).
