On a Sunday it has one of the biggest markets in Normandy. Nice for a stroll in the afternoon or the evening before dinner. There's also quite a few kiosk turned bars where you can have a drink with a lovely view of the port. Well worth a visit if you have time. Very beautiful place, there are a lot of restaurant, market... Very pretty canal in centre of Caen with many great restaurants. It's peaceful place to visit or trekking at the weekend with beautiful avenues and small boats. Not far from the castle of Guillaume le Conquérant. All the staff were really pleasant and helpfull. The port area is very clean. The cafe was also very good. A lovely little harbor in the center of a beautiful city.
