Xanthi's Bazaar

Xanthi, Greece Flea market

Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. A place to go if you enjoy the very noisy bustling markets selling everything. The fruit and vegetables were especially impressive, with the traders competing for custom. Μια μεγάλη λαϊκή αγορά. Μπορείς να βρεις τα πάντα, ή να πας βόλτα για να περάσεις την ώρα σου. there is nothing interesting in there if you are a turkish. looks like everythings comes from Turkey what they sell. Anyway also you can taste there local candies etc. A big sprawling market with a heavy focus on faux designer clothes and household goods, as well as some fruits and vegetables. As a tourist it's a fun local scene (not at all touristy), but not all that interesting, and no prepared food stalls. Worth a visit if you happen to be in Xanthi on a Saturday. place for vegetables and fruits The must big public bazar in Greece, if you are in xanthi you must come Saturday morning and walk around the street of the city that became a bazar every saturday, clothes, fruits, fish, toys, and many more things ! If you like markets, they don't get much bigger and better than this. Must! Great products at prices. variety and prices. Friendly vendors. Seasonal products You can find some bargains but get there early on Saturday morning. By noon it gets messy with garbage thrown all over the place. Every saturday here u can find fresh vegetables from suppliers garden and clothing in a very reasonable prize On Saturday you have to visit this market and you won't leave without buying something! Cheap and quality designer (fake) clothes, very cheap and very fruits and vegetables (I almost had indigestion from strawberries), Household products, but also snails ... This bazaar is the exact spot where the Near East ends and the west begins. Not so much geographically, but in spirit. You can make some bargains here, but it's worth a visit just to walk through it, listen to the merchants shouting and haggle away their wares in a mixture of Greek and Turkish, some street musician making his bagpipe scream and cry (for the rest of the Greece, the bouzouki is king, but here rules the mighty bagpipe). When you're tired, go on through the cobbled streets of the old town, refresh yourself with a boiled coffee and a bougatsa, feel the movements of a past that is still alive Great for locals with fresh fruits at very prices, plus clothes and household items. For tourists though, there’s not much of interest. We went hoping to discover some hidden gems, but it turned out to be a bit of a waste of time. I love Xanthi !!! Allá summer i ayay this place, ,❣️🇬🇷 Every Saturday, till late afternoon locals and visitors buy food from local producers and everything of clothes, shoes or home accessories at not imaginable low prices! Αν δεν ήταν τα λαχανικά και τα φρούτα θα έχανε πολύ το παζάρι. Παρά πολύ δεύτερο χέρι στα ρούχα 😞 If you look a glimpse of local life is a great place.
