This very quaint old building houses a few tables inside and a few more outside in the garden. We ate outside as the weather was lovely and we had a dog. The food was delicious Danish with plenty of fish, prawns and bread. Service was excellent. About 5 minutes by car outside Kerteminde lies this little beautifully located restaurant. They serve traditional Danish food, and the setting is perfect. It is a very beautiful garden next to the village church. I had the pleasure of eating a nice "hakkebøf", minced meat patty with potatoes and brown sause. Green beans and pickled onions. It tasted wonderful! The staff were very nice and helpful, so I have nothing to complain about. The prices are very reasonable, and lies in the middle. So all in all worth a visit in this beautiful part of Denmark! Great little place, atmosphere is amazing and food is fresh and delicious. Classic Danish food with a few local beers. I found this restaurant under the tourist board for Kertiminde. I was sold on it by its beauty and it does not disappoint. It is a historically rich building in a beautiful setting. If you are visiting the town of Kertiminde, I do not recommend this restaurant. Firstly, if you rely on bus transport the buses to this village stop around 6pm, so you cannot have your evening meal here unless you get a taxi. (I have no idea why this was on the tourist board for this reason.) Secondly, the food itself was awful. I had the veal schnitzel and it was extremely oily. It was served with a butter sauce but it just intensified the oily taste that already permeated through the dish. It overcompensated for this with far too many garden peas and oily sauteed potatoes. This cost me around £20! Thirdly, they charge for tap water! Fourthly, whilst I thought one of the female members of staff was quite friendly, the others gawped at us to the extent that made my daughter feel uncomfortable. Really cosy place with low sealing (old church house) the food is perfect matching the price. Staff really friendly and they speak Danish, English and German. The beer garden is lovely with sitting areas under apple trees Cosy diner place. Friendly staff and good food. The menu selection is limited, but the quality fine.
