Quinta do Lago Beach

Almancil, Portugal Beach

Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Really nice stretch of sandy beach. There is plenty of parking available just before the walkway leading across to the itself. It was €2.40 for two hours (pay at the machine upon your return). The sea here was good to swim in. Not that cold (though it was end of August) and very little on the seafloor. It also shelved very gradually so even after swimming out for a few minutes, an adult could still touch the bottom. The wasn't that busy when we were there. Certainly less crowded than other beaches we'd been to in this area. There was a cafe here but couldn't see any other facilities. Lifeguards were keeping an eye out too when we visited. Definitely recommend a visit. Magnifique Most beautiful beach. The rolling surf was amazing... surfers would begin heaven. Only disappointment was lack of facilities in off season. Not even a toilet. :( We actually came here to watch the sunset. It’s such a calm and pretty place to watch the sunset if you’re visiting Algarve and if you’re near the area of Quinta do Lago. I think it’s worth the stop. It’s a very well maintained place too. very large with low number of tourists because of expensive parking in summer. But beautiful nature reserve. But be aware of tremendous airplane noise starting from Faro airport Very windy beach. Stayed a couple of hours. Lovely walkway through the nature preserve A beautiful that you can enjoy expecially out of season when it's not crowded. It's just beyond a big dune that you reach with a long wooden path crossing ponds and marshes full of birds. Google maps sends you in the wrong place to park. Better to set gigi's bar as your destination and park in the paid parking closest to the path beginning. To get there you cross an area with stunning villas. The is beautiful although we couldn’t see anything that special, like other nearby beaches, it was great. The parking is expensive. Um paraíso esquecido! Sehr sauberer Strand, sehr feiner Sand und leicht über eine der Brücken zu erreichen. Great but with few amenities. One restaurant. Presumably toilets available there if you need them. The stretches all the way towards Faro. The Ria Formosa runs alongside at the back of the with lots of bird life. Only the odd butterfly sadly. Parking is a paid for, secure area which seemed reasonably priced. Walk across the Ria Formosa on a wooden bridge to the restaurant and beach. Boarded walkway helped with our load, past the inevitable sunloungers to the huge beach. Lovely uncomplicated beach. Not too busy This is amazing! If you have the chance stay to see the sunset. The access to the is also breath taking view! Beautiful beach! Magnifique plage endroit nature Attention mer agitée It was a very delightful sunny day. I enjoyed over 4 hours. You could see and hear planes landing and arriving close. We had the loveliest afternoon at Quinta do Lago beach. The water was warm, the sun was out and after a drink at Gigi’s we had a long walk along the before heading back to Faro airport. The perfect way to end our trip to Portugal.
