This convent was a real pleasure to visit. We arrived as the nuns were chanting and saying words from the gospels to celebrate the rising of christ. I am not religious but I found the dedication that these nuns had was inspiring.. Afterwards they were so pleased with us being there they gave some home made sweets. And reopened the convent shop where some of the items are hand made by the nuns... it was a lovely experience... Modern convent founded by Porphyrios of Kafsokalyvia, a 20th century monk and canonized saint in the Greek church. The convent also houses his relics. The nuns are very helpful and will answer your questions. Beautiful location easily accessible by car. A unique place founded by a unique man, Saint Porphyrios. Γαλήνη...
