The view is breathtaking. Cool experience, what can I say. Smooth ride, excellent organization, and breathtaking panoramic all the way up. Reaching Germany’s highest peak feels effortless and unforgettable. A must-do in Tirol. Please don’t wait until sunset during winter hours. A lot of guys are doing the same, and you may be stuck for 2 to 3 hours while kind staff will move you down even after they were supposed to be closed. Amazing, just one word. It was a unique impression. Also, the agent inside the cable car was so kind. I recommend spending at least 3-4 hours on the peak. Bring some food or go to the restaurant and eat there. I chose the Tiroler station over the German-side station and can recommend it. There were no queues at all on that autumn weekday, and plenty of parking spots were available near the station (parking costs 5 EUR per day). The ticket buying process from the self-service machine was convenient. The gondola ran smoothly, and overall it felt quite safe. There were only three people going up, plus the operator. The ride takes approximately 10 minutes. ​The of the valley and surrounding mountains opening up during the ride are indescribable! Depending on the weather, the might actually be better during the ride than from the top, because of clouds and fog. Brilliant experience, a must visit if you're in this area, excellent skiing, but even if your not sking you should visit for the alone. It is an amazing place to visit, especially when the sky is clear and the sun is shining. Once you get to the top of the mountain at 2962 meters, you'll enjoy the most beautiful panorama, and you will see all mountain tops around Zugspitze. Luckily we had the perfect weather day the facility was crowded but not too crowded and for someone who is not really happy with moving heights the trip up the mountain on the gondola was fairly simple. The people here have everything down to a science and the restaurant is very good. Amazing but very cramped when lots of people are looking to go up but the ski slopes up there are amazing It was basically AUD$100 for the experience but it's a once in a lifetime kind of view 😍 Absolutely loved it and recommend for everyone to see at least once. It was really windy so the cable car was really rocky but I felt safe the whole time. An amazing sight from the top!! Oh and a wrist band to secure your phone would be helpful as the wind is super strong when on the viewing platforms at the top but photos had to be taken 📷 Wonderful place, are gorgeous 😍 We visited during week and no queues. I knew that the visit from German side would have more visitors and also a bit expensive compared to Tiroler side. Highly reccommend the Tiroler path!
