Fun spot if you’re looking for a group or family outing in Cork city. The we did was considered easy/intermediate but was actually quite challenging. There are a few different in the establishment. The itself was just a single four walled with all the and challenges within it. The owner is a super nice guy and develops the himself. The family enjoyed it generally, but we had to ask for a lot of clues. I imagine the hard are really quite hard. Would recommend. It was a fun experience. This was our first time at WeEscape and they coordinated booking us in via email as it was <72hrs before the date/time which was great. The runner was super nice and friendly. We did the “One Left Behind” which was overall underwhelming, unfortunately. Without giving anything away, there were just too many locks/keys and not enough interesting puzzles. €50 for two players, which is reasonable. We may try their other in the future! WeEscape was a fantastic with my son. We played The Lost Treasure and Morgan’s Ship rooms—both were really well designed, with impressive attention to detail. The were just the right level of challenging: engaging and fun without being frustrating. I made a last-minute inquiry for same-day booking through their website and was almost immediately called back by one of their super friendly team members. They went out of their way to help us get both booked that same afternoon. Staff at the location were equally welcoming, and the whole was smooth, fun, and memorable. Highly recommend—whether you’re doing something with family or friends, this is a choice. We left this feeling very disappointed and deflated. We have done 36 now and pride ourselves on being good at them but this one just didn't make any sense! Most give you all the information you need within the to solve a puzzle, and the are based on logic: working things out from the you're given. But this involved a lot of guesswork, external knowledge and doing things that was unreasonable to expect people to try in the first place. They had the basics right: lovely staff, well decorated room, a few different physical-based (rather than 100% padlocks) but the are where it all went wrong. I would the designers maybe visit a few other to see how their are done in order to get a feel for how it could be done better! Did the Harry Potter in the pop up in the Marina Market with three 11 year olds. They loved it. Slow to get started but the hints helped and got them moving and they had fun figuring out the along the way. Would definitely recommend. They want to go back to do another now! I'm giving WeEscape one extra star because our host was lovely. Just beginning with the induction, it felt so strange to be "welcomed" by an AI "host". The information was relayed poorly, with a strange conversational rhythm, that detracted from the important info and tips. The AI was also unsettling to look at and listen to. I was quite disappointed with the Stranger Things room. Without giving away too much, it was a lot of the same type of puzzle, very little variety and solutions that seemed non-sensical or were broken! Our induction into the lore of the was dodgy, with a deepfake AI version of David Harbour trying to explain information. It felt really weird for his likeness to be used for commercial purposes, probably without his consent. I would have preferred a corny impersonator 1000 times over. In the end, we completed the with 3 minutes to spare, but it was not satisfying nor logical to solve. Every time we opened a box or unlocked a to reveal ANOTHER same left us annoyed and confused. It seemed like poor design overall. I would not recommend, unless they can shake up some of the puzzles. My son had his 11th birthday party here and he and his friends loved it, as did his dad! They had fun working together as a team solving and escaping the ‘Addams’ with just over a minute to spare! We are a pleasure to deal with - communication and advice before booking and friendly staff on the day. Would highly recommend. We did the Lost Temple and compared to other we have done in the past our was very poor. Firstly, the use of AI videos to explain the and the rules made the feel very impersonal. The person working there could have easily explained this to us and we would have felt more comfortable. The itself was very bare and didn’t flow very well during play (regardless of it being non linear or not). We are experienced at and had to get as the did not make sense at all. Even with a poor flow between the puzzles, we escaped in just over half an hour and it’s labelled as an advanced room. Some of the weren’t even puzzles. There definitely could be more thought put into the game. I definitely don’t think it was worth the price considering the introduction was two AI videos and the were simply uninteresting. I also think that interacting more with the workers could have enhanced our experience. We tried three at We — The Lost Temple, One Left Behind, and The Addams. While we escaped all of them, we found the a bit disjointed and not very intuitive. It was often hard to follow the logic, and the flow just didn’t quite come together. The Addams was especially difficult to enjoy due to a number of errors and inconsistencies, which made the more frustrating than fun. That said, the staff were very friendly and super accommodating to our last minute bookings, and there’s clearly effort put into the themes and setups, but with some tweaks to improve structure and consistency, the could offer a much more engaging experience. We did the Chamber of "you know who" in Marina Market, 2 adults and 2 children aged 8 and 10. We had fun and it was definitely challenging too. The staff hints were very good and needed 😆😆. The hour flew by. Will definitely be back to try the other rooms. Our team really enjoyed the when we visited on Dec 4th. The whole was a lot of fun and the were challenging and engaging! It was a team building activity and would as a team building activity as well as to friends! Just did the lost temple with 4 11-year olds for a birthday party.... it was fun and they really enjoyed it. It was challenging, and we used the a lot but we finished with 1 minute to spare! The boys were thrilled! Can highly recommend. We did The Lost Temple with a bunch of teens. We had some questions about it and we emailed before booking. Not only did they respond quickly but they also accommodated us and our needs. I would have no hesitation in recommending WE for a fun birthday activity. And its location at the Marina Market is a huge plus.
