Haven’t found a better yet in this part of the country for long walks on the beach. Especially during low tide. Solid ground and very flat compared to some others. One could easily enjoy a run here. Or even a bike ride (though not sure they are allowed). Very spacious and very clean! Wow! Also, a extremely large car park. I’m sure this place gets busy in the summer. We shall see, as I will return then. Really place for the whole family. It's a long and item with little waves and not a strong current so safe for people with a of riptides. The beautiful Garyvoe Hotel is across the way of you want to splurge our take a picnic basket for the day. There is a food truck selling ice creams but a bigger and better pop up might make good business as there isn't a local to pop in for sarmies or bits close by. We ventured off far left away from the crowds to give our two pups a outdoor experience and they loved the sea. Close enough from home but just enough of a day trip to make it feel like a mini break. If anyone has any information on hiring the park homes please comment. I would love a mini staycation in one of them. Clean and tidy beach, playground area for kiddies, ample parking. Secluded and protected from the wind. Lovely little spot to find. It is a beautiful and well-maintained with lifeguards. The is very clean, and there are cleaning stations available, which is a idea. Absolutely stunning, so peaceful for a walk, don't forget to bring your jumper or jacket as it's always windy here and wind is cold🥶 Lovely for a long walk. I was there when the tide was in and at first it seemed like there wasn’t much space to walk however as we walked along the Sandy area got wider and we walked for about 90 minutes. Very clean looking and plenty of dog walkers around. Windy dull day..who cares. Water was beautiful. 2 life guards on duty..kids had a ball in the water. Fabulous coffee van Ola coffee, I think it was called . Loads of parking..toilets on site. Love visiting this whenever we go home. Always gorgeous sun or winter weather. Recent visit a very friendly man selling coffees/hot chocolates/cookies from his van. Public toilets spotless. playground right by the too if the kids need a break. Garryvor hotel a stones though away...great bar and restaurant. It’s gorgeous for walk and surfing or windsurfing, there is a lovely hotel just by the you can go after your walk and grab coffee or drink. Lovely Beach, with views of Ballycotton etc. Large car park, toilets, swimming and fishing. Fabulous place, go early as peek times and during holidays can be busy. Also there is a lovely coffee van parked up ( I don't know if its there all the time or hours opened. ) A very beautiful beach. It's okay compared to many beautiful and jaw dropping beaches in Ireland. Close proximity parking is one of the advantages of visiting garryvoe beach. So even when it pours, you can still enjoy the scenery sitting in your car.
