We rented the entire place for the weekend and had all of our friends and family stay here, ended up around 90 people. They don't have staff on site so we rented our own catering and serving staff, which worked out great. The place is truly magical, the feeling you get from the castle and surrounding area is just a dream. Great ambiance. Fantastic park. Built over the centuries in a retro style. Both the old and new parts avoid modern looking building techniques and furniture. Proper control on flies, wasp, WiFi and repairs would elevate it to a unique venue. I was here as a wedding guest with 100 others and we had the most amazing weekend. Complete with a bowling alley from the 1800s and lakeside sauna, it was an incredible place for weddings or parties. The inability to drink the tap water on an incredibly warm weekend was a downside (apparently temporary but we only found out after we arrived). There was also only one functional sauna element to heat the sauna. The midnight lake swimming, original furniture and decorations, and amazing bowling alley were highlights. Overall it was a special place for such a momentous occasion. Calm nice place with an amazing history feel. Extraordinary cosy and beautiful little brick castle right by a semi big lake in a quiet forest environment. The rooms are old-timey but modernized.
