Holland-Park is a great option for families with children looking for a day of fun. While some aspects, like food prices and crowds, could be improved, the variety of activities and well-maintained facilities make it a worthwhile visit. A brilliant amusement / garden centre. Very different to the experience in the UK. Loved the slides and the windmills. Many sand pit play areas. Big Jumping pillows and fantastic play area too. In general, it's a nice place with a lot of potential. Since it's still quite new, the facilities are modern and in condition. However, the could definitely be cleaner – there’s visible dust and sand, which suggests it’s not being cleaned daily. It would also make more sense to have a no-shoes policy for adults in the play area to keep it more hygienic for children. One thing I don’t understand is the process for annual pass holders – if we already have a yearly ticket, why do we still need to queue every time just to get a wristband? It feels like an unnecessary waste of time and could be streamlined. While the prices are fair, the food prices are truly excessive. Paying €11 for a small portion of fries and a spoonful of currywurst (mostly sauce) feels unreasonable. Offering a 10% discount at the garden center for holders is a nice gesture, but maybe consider extending that discount to the restaurants as well. Despite these issues, we still like the place and plan to visit since we’ve purchased the annual passes. That said, we were happier with our experience at Karls – it was cheaper and offers more attractions plus doscount on food which is more affordable. Great Spot for and Families My son always has a great time at Holland Park. The facilities are nice and well-maintained, and the food is too. It’s a lovely place for a family outing. Cool Place. The outdoor playgrounds are free, except for the slides which are 5€/person all day. There is also a store, garden center, restaurant and a big (lots of attractions, separate for toddlers up to 3 years old - paid separately (we paid 28€ for a child and an adult). There is also a food and drink stand at the playground. There are many tables. Parents can sit, have a coffee and watch the kids. Part of the park is still closed because of the work going on there. I think you can compare this place to Karls, which in my opinion is the undisputed winner. Great place for of all ages! Been there during a working day so cannot speak of weekends, but there weren’t many people and my 2 yo kid enjoyed it really much. We only were on the which is huge and one can spend the whole day there only. There also is a big playing area. Well deserved 4 stars. Great spot for kids, lot of playgrounds. Garden shop good, food shop cute, a bunch of Dutch things, but also German inspired goods. Restaurant decent, although the fries weren't enough to be called Dutch. While we visited there was a joined event with German police, fire department & co, which was interesting. Disclaimer: Only seens the parts of the park, didn't go into any of the attractions etc. For some reason I had low expectations for this place when my son suggested he wanted to go. Wow was I wrong! There is so much to do for children and adults: rides, animals, soft play, rock climbing, food and much more. We spent around 6 hours here (until closing time) but could've easily stayed longer. The day is such value for money and I'd love to have a venue like this closer to home as we'd be there most weekends and school holidays!
