Good experience for a "first welcome" into Hungary. The food was tasty and good , the only thing that was surprising was the price : 11€ for 1 soup. Although the soup was good , it doesn't really cost 11€ . Kinda a ripping off , besides that the restaurant was nice and clean At first I thought it was quite expensive, even with the lunch deals. To my surprise these were one of the biggest portions we’ve seen. We would appreciate if it was cleaner and to make the toilet free for customers. We were driving on the way somewhere in Hungary and very lucky discovering that restaurant. We purchased 2x Gulasch, received a portion for 4 persons with bread. The bonus - it was one of the best Gulasch we've ever tried, and not spicy also. We recommend the place for sure. Wow, really bad place with below average quality of food and quite high prices, especially in euros that they will automatically try to charge you. Definitely ask for payment in HUF! The goulash soup was mere water with small cubes of carrots, potatoes and some cheap fatty pork. Shame for Hungarian goulash... Also the 12 % service fee is absolutely not adequate for this place and food. Everyone read this please. They are thieves. They give little and do not even give according to the menu. Do not let yourself tricked here. I ordered a vegetarian plate which included fried Mushroom, cheese, Camembert, vegetables and a salad. I loved the sound of it only to receive the picture with the fries. I went back told them I didn’t get any salad. They of course apologised and went back to give me ‘salad’. Eventually I got the second picture with the rice and some vegetables but none of what I had ordered. All of that cost me 17.05 euros. 17!!! The lady first said 12 euro or maybe I heard wrong but then I found out I paid 17 euros. Do not ever pay in euros in Hungary. Ask them in forint. They should not convert it. Please be careful out there with these type of thieves. They are everywhere in Hungary, especially close to Romania. Give my money back. Whole place smells like frying pan, toilet stinks and was dirty! The portions are big but nobody says or wrote it in the menu! We ordered 2 gyros plates and they were huge, we could have ordered only one if we knew… moreover the food is like cooked for pigs - 1 kg french fries and everything from the gyros thrown all over the plate, you can’t find anything unless you eat with hands and spill it all over the table. They also charge 12% service fee on top and you end up spending a good 50€ for nothing. We arrived during "peak hours" I guess, 4 pm local time, together with a lot of buses full of people. It got very busy and chaotic very fast, lots of shouting, so the atmosphere was really bad. Food portions are big, quality ok but nothing to rave about. It will do if you are really hungry and in need of a short break I guess. We were here 2 years before and the quality of food, service and atmosphere were much better, it is progressing in the wrong direction. We wanted to make it into some kind of traditional family road trip stop but not after the experience today. We had a pleasant stay. I ordered the goulash using one of those self-service kiosks — it arrived very quickly, and guess what? It was delicious. The staff were very friendly; they even opened the toilet door for me, which was a surprisingly thoughtful gesture. Me and my seven friends all thought the experience was great. Only Andrei was a bit disappointed — he didn’t enjoy his schnitzel, as he was hoping it would be made with beef and be a bit bigger. He wasn’t a fan of the crepe either. One funny (though slightly unfortunate) moment: a member of the staff accidentally spilled some leftover goulash on Andrei’s laptop man purse. Thankfully, he took it well and we all ended up laughing about it. All in all, a memorable visit!
