The vol au vent wasn't that great, it also wasn't home made (or at least that's what we think) The gin-o-clock (all gin cocktail's for 10€) was a nice surprise. Nice, cosy and sophisticated all at the same time. A great kids area outside so the adults can enjoy some conversation time. Friendly staff who explained the Dutch/French menu for us. I had one of the specials, the ray fish which was perfectly cooked. Kids meals were some of the best I have ever seen. Partner got the salmon which was generous and tasty. Would go back again. We ordered steak and spareribs…both came very quickly…we later realized that it wasn’t made fresh to order. Steak was bland and the ribs was not juicy. They also charged for side salad and sauce for the steak! To top that off, female staff was rude and moody. Won’t be back. Had tiger shrimps as starter an that was delicious! As a main I took the suggestion of the house mussels Thai way but they where quite watery and there was not much flavor in them. All in all was a good meal. But nothing special. We had the breakfast. Very friendly staff. Excellent food and more than enough. We ordered a pumpkin soup, then we discovered a bacon inside, the restaurant was kind and replaced our soup for without bacon. The soup tasted great. I recommend the dish of the day Brasserie style food - we had the cheese and shrimp kroketten - very tasty and steak frites with bernaise sauce and a very decent white Rioja to wash down the kroketten.
